2011
The Idea Begins
In 2011, Vince worked as a service plumber while Ashley managed dispatch for a large corporate plumbing, heating, and air conditioning company.
Both were working long 60-hour weeks with little work-life balance. As the company placed more attention on sales training than customer service, Vince and Ashley began to realize their values no longer aligned with the business.
They wanted to build a company where compassion, honesty, and reliable service mattered more than meeting a sales quota.

Plumbing Doctors Opens Its Doors
Ashley believed they could change the way home service was delivered, but taking the first step required a major sacrifice.
She sold her wedding ring to help purchase the company’s first service truck. In December 2013, Vince and Ashley officially opened Plumbing Doctors with the goal of building a company families could trust.
Their business was founded on three values:

Word Spreads Through the Community
During the first year, Ashley continued working outside the company while Vince handled service calls.
Customers quickly began recommending Plumbing Doctors to neighbors, friends, and family members. The company grew through word of mouth and hired a second plumber within its first year.

2018
A Difficult Year Changes the Business
By 2018, Vince was balancing service calls, office work, and the daily demands of running the company. Important documents were stored in a five-gallon bucket, and the workload had become difficult to manage.
Then Vince was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident.
While helping him recover, Ashley became more involved in the company. Vince taught her the technical side of the business while she reorganized the office, introduced better scheduling systems, created customer service procedures, and supported the growing team.
Ashley also made it a priority to remember customers, follow their projects, and guide them through each step of the service.
Vince and Ashley soon realized how well they worked together, and Ashley took over the day-to-day operation of the business.

Plumbing Doctors Becomes Home Heroes
After nearly a decade of serving the community as Plumbing Doctors, more customers began asking the company to provide heating and air conditioning services.
The team listened and expanded, but the old company name no longer reflected everything they offered.
In January 2023, Plumbing Doctors became Home Heroes Plumbing Heating & Air.
The new name represented the company they had always worked to build: a team that steps in when people feel stressed, solves the problem with care, and helps make the home comfortable again.
